Tathara Alpacas
John has been both ring steward and chief steward for many years at Alpaca shows in Victoria assisting at the Royal Melbourne Agricultural Show, the National Alpaca Show, Australian Sheep & Wool Show - Bendigo, Ballarat Sheep & Alpaca Show, Stawell, Shepparton and Bendigo Alpaca shows. He is known for his high standard of alpaca handling in the show ring, assisting both judges & handlers.
In addition to our alpacas, we are now producing a line of quilted alpaca doonas & knitted items . Our luxurious doonas are light weight and so very warm. The thermal quality of the alpaca doonas is equivalent to 3.5 lambs wool blankets with a fraction of the weight. Kerri has been instrumental in adding the alpaca products to our business. She hand knits high quality alpaca products in 100% Australian grown & processed yarns, along with a selection in imported alpaca blend yarns. Johns sister-in-law June assists us with beautifully hand spun & hand knitted items.
We are situated at Gisborne in Victoria, just 45 minutes along the Calder Highway from Melbourne, 25 minutes from Melbourne airport via Sunbury.
We can also be found at the Gisborne olde time market on the first Sunday of the month selling doonas, knits and fleece, drop buy and make yourselves known to us.
